Clinical bacteriology is a discipline that studies and identifies clinically significant prokaryotic species. Historically, bacteriology has proven as utterly important for the development of infectоlogy – a great number of diseases had been well-known for centuries but still incurable until their causative agents were revealed. Identifying the causative agent of a disease is sometimes equivalent to finding a way of its prevention or even invention of a cure.
Nowadays medical bacteriology has obtained a massive data set of bacterial pathogens characteristics including their susceptibility to antibiotics, thus the key to a successive healing is pathogen to be readily diagnosed as fast as possible. Implementing the already known characteristics of the causative agent (e.g. biochemical, metabolic, genetic and structural features) with immunological techniques allows for easy and early diagnostics of many bacteria caused gastrointestinal, urogenital and respiratory infections such as tuberculosis, diarrhea, pertussis, etc.
RIDACOM offers rapid tests for fast and accurate identification of Helicobacter pylori, Salmonella sp., Shigella sp., Borrelia sp., Streptococci A and B, Streptococcus pneumonia, Shigella dysenteria, Clostridium difficile, Legionella pneumophila and other pathogenic bacteria.
