Anti-Salmonella OMA (O-Group Pool test reagent)

    Description:

Anti-Salmonella OMA is a O-Group Pool test reagent for serological identification of Salmonella strains, isolated from various samples. First carry out the test with Anti-Salmonella OMA and Anti-Salmonella OMB: Approx. 98 % of Salmonella can be assigned. If the strain does not agglutinate, it is recommended to test this strain with Anti-Salmonella Vi. If this reaction is also negative the strain must be agglutinated with Anti-Salmonella OMC, Anti-Salmonella OMD, Anti-Salmonella OME, Anti-Salmonella OMF and Anti-Salmonella OMG.

    • Method: Slide agglutination. If the isolated strain has Salmonella antigen, within the range of the testing reagent, antigen-antibody reaction results in a visible agglutination. A negative result is reported in the absence of agglutination.
