Anti-Shigella dysenteriae type 2 is a monospecific reagent for serological detection and the determination of the serovar of Shigella O antigens.
- Method: Slide agglutination. If the isolated strain has Shigella antigen, within the range of the testing reagent, antigen-antibody reaction results in a visible agglutination. A negative result is reported in the absence of agglutination.
- Range: Shigella dysenteriae type 2
- Composition: A mixture of monoclonal antibodies derived from the supernatant of the culture medium of hybridoma cell lines secreting antibodies against the group specific Shigella O antigen.
