General information
COVID-19 is an acute respiratory infectious disease. The main manifestations include fever, fatigue and dry cough. Other symptoms might be nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, myalgia and diarrhea. Currently, the patients infected by the novel coronavirus are the main source of infection. Asymptomatic infected people can also be an infectious source.
Influenza (flu) is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses. Influenza viruses can cause mild to severe illness. Some people, such as older people, young children, and people with certain underlying health conditions, are at higher risk for serious flu complications. There are two main types of influenza viruses: types A and B. Both type A and B influenza viruses regularly spread among people, and are responsible for seasonal flu each year.

Principle:
The COVID-19 Ag & FLU A/B Combo Rapid Test is a rapid immunochromatographic test consisting of two independent tests, the COVID-19 test, and the FLU A/B test. This reagent uses the double-antibody sandwich method to qualitatively detect SARS-CoV-2 antigen and influenza A/B antigen in human nasopharyngeal or nasal swab specimens. During detection, the gold-labeled SARS-CoV-2 (or influenza A/B) monoclonal antibody in the conjugation pad binds to the SARS-CoV-2 (or influenza A/B) antigen in the specimen to form a complex, which moves forward along the nitrocellulose membrane under the action of chromatography and is captured by the COVID-19 (or influenza A/B) monoclonal antibody pre-coated in the test area of the nitrocellulose membrane, finally forming the red reaction line.
