General information:
COVID-19 is an acute respiratory infectious disease. The main manifestations include fever, fatigue and dry cough. Other symptoms might be nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, myalgia and diarrhea. Currently, the patients infected by the novel coronavirus are the main source of infection. Asymptomatic infected people can also be an infectious source.
Influenza (flu) is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses. Influenza viruses can cause mild to severe illness. Some people, such as older people, young children, and people with certain underlying health conditions, are at higher risk for serious flu complications. There are two main types of influenza viruses: types A and B. Both type A and B influenza viruses regularly spread among people, and are responsible for seasonal flu each year.
Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is the most common virus that causes lower respiratory tract infection in infants and young children. It is mainly transmitted by droplet or direct contact, and the population is generally susceptible. The peak season is from November to April.
Intended use:
The COVID-19/ FIu A&B/ RSV Ag Combo Rapid Test Cassette (Swab) is an immunochromatographic assay for the in vitro qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 antigen, influenza A&B antigen and RSV antigen in human nasopharyngeal swab or nasal swab specimens.
Advantages:
- Fast results within 15 mins
- Nasopharyngeal or nasal swab
- All necessary reagents provided
- High Sensitivity and Specificity
Principle:
The COVID-19/ FIu A&B/ RSV Ag Combo Rapid Test Cassette is a rapid immunochromatographic test consisting of three independent tests, the Flu A&B test, the RSV test and the COVID-19 test. This reagent uses the double-antibody sandwich method to qualitatively detect influenza A&B antigen, RSV antigen and SARS-CoV-2 antigen in human nasopharyngeal swab or nasal swab specimen. During detection, the gold labeled influenza A&B (or RSV/ SARS-CoV-2) monoclonal antibody in the conjugation pad binds to the influenza A&B (or RSV/ SARS-CoV-2) antigen in the specimen to form a complex, which moves forward along the nitrocellulose membrane under the action of chromatography, and is captured by the influenza A&B (or RSV/ SARS-CoV-2) monoclonal antibody pre-coated in the test area of the nitrocellulose membrane, finally forming the red reaction line.
