CRP & MxA Combo Rapid Test

    Description:

    General Information:

CRP & MxA Combo Rapid Test is a rapid diagnostic test for the simultaneous qualitative detection of C-reactive protein (CRP) and Myxovirus Resistance Protein A (MxA) in a human blood sample. The combined analysis of these two biomarkers supports the differentiation between viral and bacterial respiratory infections in patients presenting with acute clinical symptoms.

C-reactive protein (CRP) is a well-established marker of inflammation, with levels increasing mainly in bacterial infections and acute inflammatory processes. It is widely used in clinical practice as an auxiliary indicator for patient assessment and therapeutic decision-making.

Myxovirus Resistance Protein A (MxA) is an interferon-induced protein that increases specifically in viral infections. It is activated in the early stages of disease and serves as a reliable indicator of the antiviral immune response, including in respiratory viral infections.

The combined testing of CRP and MxA in a single assay provides higher diagnostic accuracy, reduces uncertainty in clinical cases with similar symptoms, and supports correct interpretation of results.

    Advantages:

    • 2 results from 1 sample (CRP and MxA) – saves time and costs
    • Rapid results – up to 15 minutes
    • High sensitivity and specificity
    • High diagnostic accuracy
    • Easy to use – only 3 steps
    • Supports differentiation between viral and bacterial infections
    • Reduces the risk of unnecessary antibiotic use
